just wanted to think the heels and what this game  and their influence in my life has meant to me. And my family.  It was 35 years ago this past Monday that I was given 5 years to live my dream was to play football in North Carolina as I was 400 pounds and grew up always a big Tar Heels fan and I love how they never give up and they all ways gave it their all. I didn't know how much that would mean to me in the future as I do now as of 35 years ago I was in a coma and they told my family I would never live to see the light again.  Six months past and I woke up out of the blue and the first thing I could think of is I wonder if the game is on as the monitors were going off it was a mirror in front of me and I could notice that I was not the same Person. At that same time the doctor walked in and he told me they didn't know what was wrong with me but at same time they told me only had five years to live I weighed 75 pounds and I would never walk again. It's More Than a Game to Steve THAD WILLIAMSON 10/09/2003 Thousands of Carolina fans were left disheartened by the most recent showing on the gridiron, but at least one fan left Kenan Stadium Saturday with greater resolve and belief than ever that John Bunting is the man for the job and will get things turned around. That fan's name is Steve Sullivan. It hasn't been the best of falls so far for John Bunting, as any visitor to this website is acutely aware. Five straight losses is enough to test the patience and faith of even the most passionate and dedicated coach. In fact, last Saturday at Kenan Stadium sounded to the out-of-town Tar Heel about as miserable as it gets, starting first and foremost with the tragic and senseless death of Stephen Gates, the talented reporter for the Tar Heel Sports Network.  On the field, Carolina again wasted a decent early effort and ended up getting waxed for yet another home loss.
